In the Beginning...

In 1956, Labor Day Weekend was the first informal race.

In October of 1957 the first organized meeting was held at the lounge of Daytona Beach Municipal Marina.  The founding members were:

On December 16, 1957 there was an election of officers for 1958 year.  The notes show 14 charter members.
