These committees are intended to be fact finding, working, recommendation building groups of people.  Any major expenditures requested and/or changes to the organization of HSA recommended will first come to the HSA Board and then be presented to the overall membership for final approval.

The Commodore has noted several committees he would like formed and will determine a Chairperson for each. Some have already been set in to place. The committees so far:

1. Vessel Procurement  – Captain:

Research and find possible boats for donation or purchase

Mono Hulls from 14’ to 21’ 

3. Planning -   Executive Board & anyone else interested

Develop an Operational and Business plan for this and subsequent years.  

4. Racing and Regattas -

Establish the rules, courses, and awards for the races

6. Promotions  –  

Design the new website, brochures, cards, flyers, and other promotional aspects

Work with the other committees when they need promotional help for their specific projects

7. Sailing Classes - Ned Wolfarth

Organize the implementation of the class and coordinate with Promotions

8. Summer Camp -  Being done by HYS

Develop a complete structure for the Camp

Run the Camp

10.  Gold Membership - 

         Recommend changes to the contract

             Establish criteria for approval of renewals

                 and new gold memberships

             Recommend parking spots for members
