The HRYC sponsors the annual Christmas Boat Parade which are the lighted boats starting at north of Seabreeze and ending at the Chart House channel. 2002 was our first year. We used Toki (Dennis Gorden's boat) and created a 60' high Christmas tree with packages under it. There were no pictures but we took first place even though Linda dropped overboard some of the "packages". 2003 was the even that features the "Santa Claus", sleigh, and porpoise on the Ghost. We took first place again. We really deserved first place on this one. 2004 was the Santa's sleigh flying in to a house top on the Carroll Ann. Somehow we took first place again, even though everything that could go wrong did. Faulting lighting, Santa couldn't fly, the sleigh couldn't fly, the music stopped, what a mess. But we all really had a great time. 2005 was Robinson Caruso's Christmas, with Larry Brinson as Caruso and Nicole Smith as gal Friday up on deck. We really had it together this year as to theme. And we won again!!! 2006 We all had lots of fun and a great party after. Would have been nice for a 5th first place, but... :(
